Stretching/Exercises
Please always remember the importance of stretching/exercising your body before/after your cello practice, and also just in general! Having a tension free body is very important in order to play to your full potential and not to become injured.
Below are a couple of short videos perfect for a mid practice stretch.
Also below is an exercise book I have made, it is aimed at children, however all the information is relevant for anyone! As I have probably said in person, please excuse the photo editing app which made me look quite questionable...

Piano Exercises
If you have a piano/weighted electric piano, there are many exercise you can do on it to develop finger strength (a transferable skill across all instruments, but especially good to train on a piano). Below are some exercises we may have covered in class, if I have not covered this with you yet and you have a piano, please let me know!

Using a laptop/desktop computer is preferable, as it will be better quality.
CHECKLIST
· I need to be able to see the student’s face, hands and instrument.
· Make sure you are situated in an area of the home with good lighting.
· Ideally the call should be set up in an area with low background noise, especially if using a phone/tablet
· Sound-test and check your setup before we start our lesson to make sure everything is working.
· You may need to send me some pictures/scans of music we are using before the lesson if I am less familiar with what we are working on.
· Try to tune your/your child's cello before the lesson (use an app if needed).
· Be ready with a pencil for the lesson.
· Make sure you device is fully charged.
Cancelation Policy
If you cancel more than 24 hours before the lesson - we can rearrange for more a suitable time.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the lesson or you do not appear for your lesson - I will charge the full fee.
If there is a genuine emergency, of course I will not charge any cancelation fees.
